Mortgage Rates Rise From Record Lows
Feb 24, 2012 - According to Freddie Mac's weekly survey, the average 30-year fixed rate mortgage rose for the first time in 3 weeks from the record low of 3.87% to 3.95% last week. The average 15-year rate was 3.19%. The rise is attributed to improving housing market conditions. I would expect this trend to continue as we get closer to the busy season- better lock in these rates now.
