...Southwest Idaho- Seller's Market  You could not ask for a better market to sell a home. The inventory of homes for sale and vacancy rates are near historic lows. Half of the homes sold in the Boise Metro in May went under contract in 4 days and most for more than asking with multiple offers. Why is the market so hot? Low interest rates make it a good time to buy.

...Boise Market Among The Hottest in Next 3-5 Years NAR recently rated Boise in the top 10 metros expected to have the strongest housing markets factoring in domestic migration, affordability, consistent job growth, population age structure, attractiveness for retirees and home price appreciation.

...Home Prices Soaring Nationwide   Nearly 90% of metros across the country posted double-digit gains, according to NAR in the latest quarterly report. The national median existing home price rose 16.2% year over year, the highest jump in at least 32 years. Boise-Nampa, Idaho (at 32.8%) ranks only 5th for highest appreciation rate.

...Mortgage Rates dropped 3/100ths last week, averaging 2.96% on a 30-yr fixed owner occupied loan, according to the Freddie Mac weekly survey. The all-time low of 2.65% was set in January.
