...Boise Idaho Market Update Home sales have peaked for the year (normal) and the inventory of homes for sale has risen from a 1-week to nearly a 3-week supply; only a fraction of the 5-6 months supply that would cause prices to go flat or fall. Half the homes sold in the Boise Metro in August went under contract in 5 or 6 days. Conditions still strongly favor sellers, but the bidding wars are waning and the average premium paid over asking is shrinking.
...Boise Market Among The Hottest in Next 3-5 Years A few months ago, NAR rated Boise in the top 10 metros expected to have the strongest housing markets factoring in domestic migration, affordability, consistent job growth, population age structure, attractiveness for retirees and home price appreciation.

...Mortgage Rates held steady again last week, averaging 2.86% on a 30-yr fixed owner occupied loan, according to the Freddie Mac weekly survey. Rates have stabilized under 2.9% for the last 10 weeks. Not far from the all-time low of 2.65% set in January. It is still a great time to borrow money for a home!
