Mortgage Rates Continue Upward  June 27th, 2008 - According to Freddie Mac, the average 30-year fixed mortgage rose to 6.45 percent this week, up from 6.42 percent the previous week. Source: Wall Street Journal

In Canyon County, the 1st quarter of 2008 median existing home price of $140,000 is an eye-opening 29% below the national median and an eye-popping 53% below the West.
3) Idaho's crime rate is the lowest in the West according to the FBI.
4) The overall tax burden per capita is the 2nd lowest in the West, according to Idaho Housing & Finance.
5) Idaho's cost of living is the 2nd lowest of the eleven western states, according to the Idaho Division of Tourism Development.
